Last week the British Association of Communicators in Business (CiB) formally became the Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC). As professional communicators look to the future, I was in touch with Sarah, my mentee, today and recommended she reads a book I came across last year while studying. It’s called Effective Internal Communication (PR in practice) by Lyn Smith [...] The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of new changes, fresh challenges and lots of spreadsheets! As well as working full time I’ve moved house and started to plan my wedding so it’s all systems go on every front. There was good news for my mentee Sarah Hodges at the Communicators in Business (CiB) awards [...] Good news all round today as the communications executive I mentor, Sarah Hodges, has won an award of excellence in the Communicators in Business (CiB) Communicator of the Year awards under the ‘Best newcomer to the industry’ category. I’m thrilled for Sarah as she is passionate and dedicated to corporate communications. This was reflected in the [...] This week has been a packed one with lots of highlights and firsts. I was the other side of the camera for a secret photo shoot (can tell you more in a few weeks) and met some really interesting people there.
